Heads up!
Hello everyone!

Be on the look out for a link that says "Read Article" next to the blog! If you see that link, then there's more to that blog than meets the eye!

Posting...
Hello everyone!

I've done some more digging, and I have found that not everyone can post a blog. You need permission from us in order to do so.

However, don't let that keep you from signing up! By seeing people sign up, it shows us your support!

Welcome to the Bancroft Memorial Library Blog!

How this blog works.

Hello everyone!

I've done some playing around with the site and am ready to explain how this works.

Leaving a comment:

If you wish to leave a comment, click on the link beneath the blog that says, "Comments."

It will then ask you for your name, email address, a link to your own site, and a confirmation code. You only have to fill out the confirmation code. You do not have to give your name or email, and you don't need your own site.

Type in the comment you wish to leave in the text box.

When you're finished, you can choose whether or not to check the box that says "Remember Me" so that the computer remembers your information for future use.

Finally, you can either preview or submit your post.

Registering:

If you wish to join, then click on the register button in the upper right hand corner of the page.

It will then ask you for your username, a password, your email address, your preferred language, and your timezone.

Username: The name that you want to use to log in.
Password: Must be at least 6 characters long.
Email: Fill in your email address here. You must have an email address to join.
Language: The language you prefer to use. It is automatically set to English as default.
Timezone: The timezone you live in. Match the clock to your computer clock (uses the 24 hour clock).

Once you've filled these fields in and hit Register, it will ask you to fill in your password again. Retype your password, and hit the button to continue.

An email will be sent to you asking to activate your account. Click the link to activate the account and log on.

I am still trying to figure out if users can post blogs. I'll get the answer up as soon as I can.

Welcome!
Hello everyone!

We have finally got a blog site up and running!

Feel free to check back from time to time to see if anything exciting is happening!

The next post will be about how to use this site.
